Dub Show 2010 3-7-10

We here at CarZ.com take our cars very seriously, and when given the opportunity to attend a car event, we will pretty much jump on it. We had the opportunity on March 7th, 2010 to head on over to Angel Stadium and check out the DUB show. We met up early at the office, piled into my car and were on our way.  As we arrived and pooled out funds together to pay for parking, we could see the long snaking line of people stretching into the parking lot. I quickly parked my rig, we gathered our equipment and headed off into the sea of people to get our media passes.  After confusingly standing in the will call line and then being told we were not on the list, we made some calls and finally were able to wrangle our passes to the show. As we stood in line waiting to get in, the eager anticipation was setting in on us, and after the customary search and wand passing we were in.

As soon as we stepped in we moved past the crowd, my eyes were instantly filled with the sight of some gorgeous cars. We did a quick head count and split up to begin our trek through Dub Show. The show was defiantly massive with a nice mixing of what you would expect to see at a DUB show. A steady mix of tricked out trucks rolling on 22”+ rims and even some cars that were stuffed with some amazing assortments of rims and tires. There was a healthy dose of exotics, from Lamborghinis, to even an Audi R8. Also we got to see some of the sweetest low riders to come bouncing out of their Southern California homes and settle here under the big “A”. There were only a handful of misfits in this acre of chrome, custom paint and rims, a few cars that would more likely fit in at a tuner meet not a DUB show. However the mix was nice and gave people an opportunity to see a lot of different styles in one venue.

Many vendors also came out to show off some of their new gear, and bringing with them some of the most beautiful women you could want at a car event. Many custom shops also tailored in their hottest rides to put on display and allow people to see up close. From wild paint jobs to wicked body kits, there was so much to see. Also the DUB show didn’t disappoint with features, like a stunt bike competition and locking battles going down on the main stage. I even got to catch a glimpse of OG Abel throwing down a custom mural in front of the crowds. There were plenty of excitement and good times to have at this show. The only downer came around 3pm when the rain decided to show up and people scrambled to keep their custom interiors and ICE setups from getting drenched.

All in all this was a very enjoyable show. Some of the hottest cars and girls from all over gathered and pulled of a very entertaining experience. The lines were long, the cars were beautiful, and the only down was the rain. In the beginning it was a bit unorganized, but my only real regret is not being a part of the excitement. Maybe next year will slap some DUB’s on my ride and roll in, instead of just sitting on the side lines. DUB does big things and I can’t wait until their next event, until then I’ll just relive this one with pictures. You can too, just check out the slide show and stay tuned for my best and worst of Dub Show 2010.
